I just got a mint condition surefire E2D executive defender flashlight in trade and it came with 2 surefire cr123 batteries.
The question I have is can it work with protected RCR123 rechargeables?.

I hope so, cus if not its gonna have to find a new home as I cant afford to buy regular CR123 batteries all the time.

Thanks in advance..

I forgot to mention that this one has the regular bulb and not the led.

If it's the incan model (E2D) you can't unless you get a Lumens Factory bulb that can handle the extra voltage. If it's the newer E2DL (LED), there are people who have been running 2x3.7volt cells with no problems.

The LF EO-E2R claims 150 (I'm guessing bulb) lumens. Lighthound has them back in stock. I just picked up two this week. They're pretty good bulbs with a long life span. My last one lasted about two years of EDC use.

I'm using Trustfire 3.6V RCR123s.
