I have been using Belkin "The Blaster" up until now for cleaning out dust from reflectors/lenses etc.

It was recommended to me long ago and seems to be a good product because the liquid solvent doesn't come out, like it does with many other canned air products.

However, these days its always out of stock.

Can anyone recommend any equally good alternatives?

Well for one stay away from anything with a bitterant.

It's usually listed on the label, and most certainly in the list of contents.

The brand I've used for years is 'Blast Off', but I use the fact that I can freeze things by turning the can upside down. It comes in 'pure' and 'bitterent' models.

BTW, the bitterent is there to make it taste bad to abusers.

If any solvent goes into the reflector, it will most likely leave a stain.

I've found this method effective with most/all brands of canned air:

1) hold the can still
2) angle the nozzle slightly up
3) with nothing in front, release a quick blast to clear the nozzle
4) while still not moving the can, place the target in view of the nozzle
5) release a longer blast to clean the lens/reflector
6) keep the blast under a few seconds, restarting at step 3 as needed

Brilliant. Thanks for the advice. :twothumbs

I have come to similar conclusions by trial and error, but this summary of the steps is an excellent reference point.
