I tried to order the TITANIUM LCD Display Battery Charger for AA& AAA NiMH & NiCD from www.batteryjunction.com but I got the following vague error after I entered my billing information and clicked Continue:

Order Submission Status

Something has gone wrong. You may wish to place your order by telephone or e-mail, as described on each catalog's information page.
Note that the "information page" link points to "theshorelinemarket", an eBay seller ID. www.shorelinemarket.com looks like a very close clone of batteryjunction, which is apparently a temporary replacement for www.AmondoTech.com... !?

I'm confused. Has anyone ordered recently from BatteryJunction? I'm writing about this because:
1) Folks here seems to have liked AmondoTech, and Battery Junction has acquired it
2) Battery Junction is a generic Yahoo! Small Business -powered store. Its getting my CC data and then dumping a dubious error seems like phishing.
3) Battery Junction is the only store that sells the Titanium charger above.

Help?

BTW, I believe The Shoreline Market is the parent company of Battery Junction. Ever before they purchased Amondotech, the company on my credit card was always The Shoreline Market, so there's nothing to worry about it there :)

I agree, contact Matt and he'll help you out. They're a great company to do business with!

The way it all links up is that The Shoreline Market appears to be the entity through which Battery Junction sells things. I don't know if it's an ownership thing where one owns the other, but it's legitimate.
I've ordered from Battery Junction many times (way too many, according to my wife) and it always comes up as The Shoreline Market.

The Yahoo connection, I believe, is just an online "Secure" ordering function that Battery Junction uses for that very reason; Security.
No problem there.

Also, Battery Junction bought out the entire inventory of Amondotech (but I don't think they bought the company itself which is defunct).
That's the connection to Amondotech.

If you're order got kicked out, it's most likely because of a descrepancy with your credit card number or Pay Pal or whatever.
Keep in mind that everything is verified "real time", so if you input ANY information erroneously, or if you card expired or is over the limit or a host of many things possible, then it will get kicked out.

If I were you, I'd just call them on the phone and make the order in person. That way, the person on the other end can tell you what the problem is.

Battery Junction has been shown to be one of the very best vendors that hangs around here at CPF.

Thanks for the info, guys. Glad to know Battery Junction is reputable and my CC details are safe.

I just reordered entering the very same data, and the order went thru. Must've been a glitch of some sort.

Can't wait for the Titanium charger!
