I'm a newbie to most of the flashlight stuff Ive seen on here, but a year or two ago, i bought a INOVA T4 (i think i got it when they first came out) anyway, i haven't used it for awhile and recently i tried to use it and nothing, i just checked the voltage of the battery with my DMM and got .13v, now, after reading how unstable Li-ions can be if discharged and seeing some posts of flashlight bombs would it be safe to try to recharge it or for safety should i buy a new cell, Thanks, Joe

Hello Joe,

Welcome to CPF.

If your cell is protected, the low voltage protection may have kicked in. You can put the cell on your charger for 30 seconds, then re-check the voltage.

If your cell is unprotected, toss it and get a new one.

Yes, the lion for the T4 is protedted. I have had to get a warranty replacement because mine leaked!! Dont ask me how but it did. Anyways, Inova replaced the batt under warranty. So far its been good. I used an AW protected 18650 wrapped in paper while its was gone for replacemnt. Just make sure you got the polarity of the batt right. Its loaded -ve into the barrel with the +ve to the endcap.
