Suggestions for a charger? I am looking to charge 4 AA batteries, but each would have to be charged separately, is this doable? Basically, each battery will each be used in different applications, with different levels of power left in them. Does duracell make these?

Bascially, i am looking for four separate charging bays.

A good start would be to find a charger that has 4 ready lights. Also the package should say it will charge from 1 to 4 batteries. If it states for 2 or 4 batteries, it won't do what you want.

There is one made by Duracell that I've seen at Target and WalMart for less than $20. It's gotten some good reviews. Probably get one myself one of these days.

That alone may or may not get you what you want.

For example, the C.Crane charger will charge from 1 to 4 batteries, but AFAIK is not a four channel charger.

Also, the charger that came in the Enenloop bundle (it's a nice travel charger) says 2 or 4 on everything in the packaging, and has only one light, but seems to be a full four channel charger, from everything I've been able to find on it here and elsewhere.

I'd certainly do some searching on this list before making a buying decision. You'll find more info here than just about anywhere.

There's the Maha 401 charger, simple, independent 4 cell charging. I personally have the Maha 800S 8-cell charger & Maha C9000 charger. The 800S is a good all-around charger w/reconditioning cycle. I regularly have AAA & AA batteries of varying capacities charging at any given time. Very gentle charging and a nice LCD display which shows what each cell is doing.

I've owned the Maha 204 charger for a number of years and was happy with it, but it only did two at a time. I bought the Maha 401 a couple of years ago, it does four AA's or AAA's independently, was relatively inexpensive IIRC, and has worked great for me. I still use the older 204 for recharging batteries in a devie that uses 2 or 4 cells, but the 401 is used for everything else.

Yes I own this charger. No issues so far. But don't have option to charge/discharge cells at a specific level, no option to recover cells (you get what you pay). Maha C9000 would be ideal cost is $60+.
