Okay, I'm super impressed with what I've seen of the new IMR batteries from AW. I'm still a tad confused as to what the best charger is that will do both the 123a size and 17670 size batteries(here's hoping those come out in the IMR chemistry soon  ). Will I need spacers for the 123a size batteries? Also I'd prefer one on the faster side, I think AW recommended a wf-139 but there's an old slower version and a new fast one??? So I'm a little confused. I was planning on ordering from lighthound, so if the charger is available there that would be convenient :)

Since I don't have any 18650 sized surefire bodies and I don't really want to bore my C2 out at the moment, I'll be getting a pair of imr16340's for use with my M60, and 17670's and an M30wf to replace my M60 later on. For the time being though what runtime should I expect out of 2x16340's? (my m60 pulls 880ma from a fresh pair of surefire 123's) I figured on around 50 minutes before needing a recharge, but I don't want to overshoot the runtime on an unprotected battery and ruin them.

I purchased IMR 16340's and a 17670 for my Creemator from Lighthound.
I use a Pila IBC charger from Flashlights.com for 36.65 +shipping. Its works well it comes with spacers, but there not long enough for the 16340. I use a dummy cell from lighthound so I can use it in a 2 cell body with the 16340 if I have to otherwise a piece of copper, bolt etc. will work I believe someone uses a stack of dimes. The 17670 or 18650 will work with no spacers. I read alot of good things about this charger before purchasing it, but like everthing some will love it and some will not.

Good luck in your decision

To run AW's IMR 16340's in the Pila IBC you can use the stock Pila spacers + 15mm spacers from AW.

I LOVE this new chemistry.

Hmm, what if I just skip the 16340's/17670 and bore my c2 out to fit the 18650s?? I just checked with my caliper, the tube is 17.5mm inside diameter, it shouldn't take too much to hone off .5 mm right? Anyone got the exact diameter of the 18650s? It'd be cool if I could squeeze one in there without modding.
