I just picked up two each of the C and D sized 3.0V UltraFire "BRC" batteries with the green shrink wrap. The specs for the voltage range and the capacity seem to be the same as Download's C and D sized LiFePO4 batteries. So far, they are behaving the same with respect to charging and discharging, and from what I can tell, voltage sag (or lack thereof) under 2.0-2.8A load. Until I hear otherwise, I am assuming that the chemistry is LiFePO4. That doesn't seem like a stretch of the imagination to me, given what I've said above and the fact that the green 3.0V UltraFire RCR2 which have been around for years are also reportedly LiFeOP4. (I have two of those as well and as best as I can tell, they behave like that chemistry as well.)
If anyone has an inside track at UltraFire (or Shenzen, or whatever the parent company is), I'd really like some verification or dispute of this. Thanks.
P.S. I have a 22600 3.7V BRC on the way in the hopes that it will fit nicely in all those 3AAA/18650 compatible torches. I'll let you know if it does.
