A few weeks ago I rediscovered the clamptite, I saw i for the 1st time many years ago and forgot about it. The tool is not sold here in Argentina, so instead of paying retail price+shipping I took the DIY way. Since I had some free time I used my partners shop to make 4, 2 for them because they provided tools, machines and raw materials and 2 for me.

Some photos:

All the turning was made on a manual lathe by yours trully, I was after functionality not nice looks, so the finishes are not that nice. Tapers were done by fixing the carriage and moving the compound.

Used a 9mm long drill for the body hole

The slot was milled with one of the CNC machines I sell (Syil X5) machine was sold days ago, so this is a good test that everything works fine :)

Screw is 5/16 and I made a small hole for a lanyard at the top of it, it will also prevent the handle to get lost.

They work great!

PS: next in the pipeline is the cold air gun :D

I went ahead and ordered the generators earlier this week - I will be making everything else from scratch ;)

I thought of doing the same, but I saw a vortex tube for $49.95 and purchased it at ebay, it will help me making more and testing different generators.
I'm also thinking in doing a small CNC batch to sell them here (and there why not) we will be attending a machining expo with the CNC machines (www.fimaqh.com) and I can use a small spot of the booth to show it to the local public at almost zero expense.

What generator models you purchased?
