'Experimental' RCR123 Bodies
PRICE DROP US$4 eachSOLD OUT
These bodies are the result of a FAILED attempt to provide RCR123 compatibility for the L2P/L*T.
There is NO GUARANTEE THAT THEY WILL WORK, but are being offered below cost for experimental
purposes or as mod hosts etc.
Designs were based around 2 * 0.5mm O-rings on each end instead of a single 1mm thick O-ring,
allowing the ID to be bored slightly wider (17.00mm) and accept *some* protected rechargables.
This all looked fine on paper but the lip of the body is too thin to achieve sufficient contact,
resulting in flickering or no access to the 'hi' mode for the L*T series. I have not tested them with the L2P.
Other known issues...
- O-rings are so thin, they may tear when twisting
- O-rings may be too thin and flimsy for a reliable seal
- Walls are very thin and may deform easily, especially with a loose fitting primary cell which will
not support the structure from inside.
