Hi too all. Im new to this whole flashlight modding thing but Ill get right to point. I need to know where the best place to get a clicky switch is. How to make one, or where to get one here in the forums. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all who read this.

Hi Steve,

There are different switches for different applications. It might be beneficial to know what kind of cap or light the switch is to go into.

and :welcome:

4sevens sell some on thier website as Fenix parts. Look under "Fenix Lights" then choose "Fenix Parts" then choose "Fenix Tailcaps".

Lots of other torch sales mobs sell various ones on their websites too.

Many stores dealing with electronic components has suitable switches. In fact most flashlights using switches are just standard size switches available from multiple manufacturers and qualities (Mag is an exception except perhaps the new XL100).

DX has the most common size switches. Not the best quality you can get but take care not to damage them if soldering is required and they should be quite OK for most purposes. Oh and they're very cheap too ;)

Thanks to everyone who replied. I would still like to know if anyone can inspire me to make one. I did order some from DX though. Should be here in a couple weeks. As far as what type of flashlight,err,umm... I am making one. I have all the tools, materials, and machines to do so{or at least access to them} ;) I will post my finished result here though to let everyone see it.I just need to figure out the switch, Everything else is covered. Thanks for everyones help.
