Please don`t ship it to me yet until we can confirm what LE`s and GDuP`s this head can take. I want a head that will accept Cree GDP`s from the Shoppe.

The McR-20 has a nice beam with a Cree if modded correctly. I did a Delghi head for someone using a McR-20 & a Cree LE that came out pretty nice.

Well I can only assume by pics & info from this post.

The pic in this thread shows the 19mm V1 head that uses the McR-19XR reflector:

If the V1 head Troy has is a 20mm it probably looks like this one on the left:

Of course they look very similar but the 20mm head should be shorter than the 19mm head as seen comparing the pics. Which makes sense since the McR-19XR is noticeably longer than the McR-20.

When I received the Delghi head from the sender overseas (not the owner), I was informed that it was supposed to come with a McR-20 for a Seoul & a McR-20 for a Cree. I only received one McR-20 with it and it was marked "McR-20 Cree". However it was just a standard McR-20 for a Luxeon, I had to modify it to work with a Cree. Perhaps the sender made a mistake but as far as I'm aware, there is no McR-20 made specifically for a Cree. Unless there was some special hush run of them that I never came across. Can anyone else confirm?

I have both the Shoppe Cree GDup and the Seoul GDup in TNC and Mirage Man heads.

These are the items I used for the 20mm head:

McR-20 Reflector
Sapphire Lens at 22.5 x 1mm
GDup Seoul LE

These are the items I used for the 19mm head:

McR-19XR Reflector
Sapphire lens for A19
GDup Cree LE

These two setups are both nice with the Cree in the 19 having a little more throw, while the Seoul setup has a little more flood to the beam.

Hi Troy...

I`ll undoubtedly regret this decision in the future, but I`ll take you up on your offer to cancel our transaction.

From the research that I`ve done and based on the info received from other CPF`ers in this thread, this 20mm head was designed for Wayne`s Seoul GDuP`s...as opposed to the Cree flavor (using 19mm heads) that that I`m presently heavily invested in.

I`ve sent an email to you with my PP address.

John, no prob. Nobody should ever be held accountable to paying for a transaction based on misinformation! PayPal refund has been made and the item is now back on the market. Thanks to all for clearing this up. My bad.
