Re: The Backup Thrower

Think I know what this one is, but I won't say because I was right about the last one (the ultra-compact thrower) and don't want to spoil it.

If it IS what I'm thinking...DO IT, it would be VERY cool!!!!! :)

Re: The Backup Thrower

I thought you might 'superpower' and dedome the XML2 version of the SX25L3. It's 5.7" long. But then the MX thrower version would be easier to get those figures from. Oh well....batting .500! ;)

Re: The Backup Thrower

Provided that there are many things that you consider flaws, I'm guessing that lower modes have PWM? That and maybe the light has an orange peel reflector? (is it an olight?)

NO PWM

Also a small OPreflector making lux greater than a SR90 would be a tough task. So no. The reflector is smooth.

Re: The Backup Thrower

just browsing and happen to notice http://www.foursevens.com/products/QB2L-X-AF

meets all the hints vinh dropped here and there...

<5.5inch
smooth reflector
has moonlight
not sure if it's no bigger than t45c (i think so since it's shorter than t45c)
not 4aa

reflector looks big and deep enough to be a good candidate for a good thrower

vinh said Has 2 thing I consider "flaw":
1. Max:Burst at 870 lumens, 1 minute
then 435 lumens, 1.4 hrs
2. dont know

Re: The Backup Thrower

My vote would be for a Sunwayman M30R. That would be a totally bad-*** little thrower. If thats what it is can I be number one on the sales list?

5.3 inches long, triple 16340, XM-L2, big reflector.
