I just received the Coleman Exponent Collapsible Lantern from The Gear Revival. After the review is finished the light goes back to the The Gear Revival.

You can purchase the Coleman Exponent Collapsible Lantern at The Gear Revival

Order over $100 worth of items and get free UPS Ground shipping in the US (no code needed, despite what the homepage says).

There is a thread on the Coleman Lights at CPFMP

Costs $9.99 before discount.

The Coleman Exponent Collapsible Lantern screws on the head of the Coleman CREE Exponent 1 CR123A Lithium Flashlight or the 2 CR123 Flashlight.

Fit and finish I give the grade A.

Collapses for easy, compact storage.

Thanks for doing the review for us. :)

Another poster mentioned that the threads of the collapsible lantern were small and might have issues with threading onto the flashlight. Did you have any trouble with that?

No troubles with the threading.

I think you just have to pay attention when screwing on the Coleman Exponent Collapsible Lantern to the Coleman CREE Exponent 1 or 2 CR123A Lithium Flashlight. It's plastic screwing on aluminum threads.

Those were my thoughts as well. It is not that it is difficult, but you do have to take your time and do it carefully. I have had mine on and off a number of times without any problem. I could see the threads being fairly easily damaged if one tries to rush the process or is not paying attention and making sure it is threading properly.

Perhaps the same could be true about opening the lantern once it is attached. It does not take Herculean strength. I am sure that an old friend of mine would destroy it in his first attempt at opening, as he does everything "full throttle."
