So I purchased a pila IBC for my Father over a month back for Fathers day direct from Pila. I paid with Paypal....there is no phone number on the site. The product never arrived and they aren't returning emails....any thoughts?:shakehead
I would start by trying to contact Pila directly at the numbers on the following contact page:
http://www.pila-usa.com/pila.contact.htm
Regardless of any promises made by Pila though, it is important to remember that the clock started ticking on your alternate remedies when payment was tendered.
That is why I would suggest that you review the remedies available to you through PayPal as soon as possible as well. The following page, which you can only access by logging into your PayPal account, is a good place to start:
https://www.paypal.com ... EducationIdentifyIssue
Once there, you will note it contains the following introductory paragraph:
Step 1 - Identify issue
Most disputes are the result of simple misunderstandings. It's best to initiate communication with the seller as soon as you recognize a potential problem.
You can open a dispute in the Resolution Center within 45 calendar days of payment. By opening a dispute, you are able to communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.
If you and your seller are unable to agree on a solution, you must escalate the dispute to a PayPal claim within 20 calendar days of the date the dispute was opened. By escalating to a claim, you would be asking PayPal to review the case and decide the outcome.
As well, even if you and Pila agree on a remedy, unless all the terms are fullfilled within the time-frames noted above, you should still initiate or escalate the dispute regardless as a measure of self-protection.
If your stars are properly aligned, you will also have funded your PayPal payment with a credit card or some other funding source that offers a secondary level of protection. If that is even remotely possible, you should initiate that contact as soon as possible as well on the assumption that there is another clock ticking there, and you will need to know those timelines.
Since the issue is self-evident, your participation in the dispute process should be 'relatively' straight forward and painless, but this truly is a situation where you can lose if you snooze.
Anyway, it doesn't seem likely that Pila would be dealing in bad faith, but that shouldn't deter you from initiating your protection processes within the obligatory timelines pending receipt of your purchase or refund of your payment.
