Hello Steve,

Now let's not get confused with the difference between voltage and current...

Li-Ion cells are charged to 4.2 volts, and have a nominal voltage of 3.6 or 3.7 volts under load.

The maximum recommended charging rate for Li-Ion cells is 1C. For example if your cell has a capacity of 2000 mAh, the maximum charging rate would be 2000 mA.
