CR123 body for L1D?

Any word on a CR123 conversion body tube for the L1D? And will using that battery pump out a few more nuggets o' lumens?

I would email Fenix directly and straight out ask them. I asked if they'd be releasing a 2AA extension tube for the L1D CE, and they told me that it's in the works but no release date.

I'm confused, wouldn't an L1D CE with a 2AA extension tube be a L2D CE?

In essence, yes, but then you wouldn't have to spend the %5x.xx dollars to have both lights.

If a CR123 body is going to be made for the L1D, it'll probably come from nekomane and 4Sevens. The CR123 body for the LxT head was from them and not Fenix. But, it can't hurt to ask Fenix I suppose.

Using a CR123 should increase the output. It would run the head at 3.0V so it should be the equivalent of a L2D.

I get it, it gives you a choice, one battery for summertime shorts two for winter overcoat.
