If you find you have posted in the wrong forum, it is best to ask a moderator to move the thread for you, rather than re-post it where it belongs. I've deleted your first thread about this, so you are clear now and you won't receive duplicated replies.

As to the topic, I hope you aren't considering attempting to recharge CR123A primary cells - I trust you mean RCR123 Li-Ion rechargeables.

I got a Shekor charger due to its voltage input range :
All I need now is the solar panel ..

Several chargers will work from 12v ...
So get a car battery , hook up a solar cell to charge the car battery and use the car battery to power your charger ...

Or buy a Shekor , and hook it up directly to a solar cell / panel ..
Thats the plan in anyway ...

Yes, I mean RCR123 Li-ion rechargeable!

I know Steripen do a case that will charge 2 RCR123's click

Re: RCR123 Solar Charger

In the blurb for that Steripen charger, note that it says it takes 2 days to recharge 2 cells!

Re: RCR123 Solar Charger

Yes I read that! which is why i'm in here asking if there is anything else on the market!

Heck, you didn't include the bit that states "2-5 days". Up to 5 days, really?! I can fashion myself a pot from clay, fire it, then use the same fire to boil the water in that amount of time. Now, if you were out for weeks at a time, with spares that you could swap into the Steripen, and into the charger, that would work ok.

Re: RCR123 Solar Charger

What you need, its a BIG solar cell for a 12V charger. But those doesnt come cheap - and they can be quite fragile.

But why do you want to solar charge anyway?

Well - 2 to 5 Days ... :shakehead and thats if the sun is shinning ..

You need something thats capable of doing 2xRCR123A in about half a day .
Or a 18650 in one day ..
