I just had a crazy thought, would the lubricants that comes in lubricated condoms be the best lube for flashlight o-rings? This is because they have a mission-critical need to be really harmless to latex/rubber else someone is going to get pregnant! And of course, they also need to lube really well..

What are your thoughts on this? Would they make greatest and safest lube?

I believe the lubricants used in those are water based and will dry up on a flashlight.

I'm pretty sure condom lube won't be of much use in sub-zero or 140+ degree weather (the flashlight lube I use is rated for -94 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit, don't try that with the condom-relevant parts of your body), but it would help to prevent the appearance of little tiny o-rings..

Get two cheap identical lights, use condom lube on one, and normal on the other, and start up or your own TV series ;)

(or start a myth about it and get Mythbusters to check it out..)

Actually, i did hear this myth that condom lube is better than normal lube on flashlights, maybe you've heard about it ? ;) ;)
