just put a cree in a Q3, and thinking about getting a flupic. anybody got a guess as to the current draw on a primary and a rcr123 with the stock driver? trying to imagine how much brighter the 1.2A burst will be.

also, does the reflector screw out of the head? mine seems stuck, or its got too much loctite on it. any ideas?

It helps to heat the head and use some needle nose plyers to get it out.

Yes heat ,I just did my Q3 with flupic last night! Its pretty bright, its hotspot is like the original, wide diffuse spot ,now its spill is WAY brighter. I have a Lion cub and jet I MKII,they have a tighter and brighter hotspot, but nowhere close to its spill.
I did also make the copper heatsink see my thread

I measured right @ 1A with the stock driver and a P3 Cree.
