What does Q5 mean? I hear it thrown around alot around here but what is it. Are they brighter than ordinary crees?

there are different brightness bins of the Cree XR-E,

It's a grading system. Cree XR-E is the model, the leter + number which often follows is a grade of how bright is it. Sometimes there are even two more letters after that starting with "W" which is a tint rating.
