Hey all,

I'm hoping that somebody can answer me a question here....

I own a Fenix P1D CE Q5 and using an Energizer EL123 (disposable) for a battery.

I also just received my Fenix LD20 which I'm using Energizer Lithium AA's (disposable).

Here's the thing... on the low setting of my P1D, which is rated at 16 lumens, is very visibly dimmer than my LD20 on it's low setting rated at 9 lumens.

How can my LD20 be brighter (on low setting) when it has less lumens?

Is this a known issue? is it the lithiums?

Hope someone can help or refer me to a post if this has been covered already.

Thanks.

The figures quoted for lumens are at best approximate, and will vary from one light to another.

As DM51 says, but also be aware that brightness is not the same as lumens.
If you have a small room with a white ceiling, try a ceiling bounce (i.e. use the light to light the ceiling in a dark room, then look around in the room and see how much light there are), this gives a better idea of the lumen output, than just looking at the hot spot.
