current for warm white crees

not sure if i have this right but it looks as if the warm crees
- q2-3a / q2-5a can only be run at max 700ma

is this correct

can i safely run well cooled ones at 1000ma (alu heatsink with airflow from riding bike in low temp)

i had 3 cool p4 running at 1000ma in my bike light and i swapped the leds for warm ones - now im worried

according to cree's web site, The XR-E Cool white can be driven at 1000ma. The XR-E Warm and neutral colors have a max of 700ma.

If you over drive them you will Need to make sure you have good cooling. Also you will most likely shorten their lifespan.

Hi, Dereelight drive the Q3-5A with 1200mA (3SD driver for example in CL1H)
I own one of this and no problems....
There are also SSC P4 LED in warm white, you can offical drive this with 1A

or take 4x MC-E in warm white and have 2000Lumens:twothumbs

They will work fine in that bike light. In fact, the bike light is pretty much the ideal place for the LED to be.
