So, can it run 2 x C alkalines, if so us there much output loss compared to running on a single C Li ion?

Yes. I've run it on a single 26650 A123, at 3.3V, and you can see the difference in output. 3V from 2x alkalines are less yet.

I need to edit the description, because it actually takes up to 4.5V, or 3x alkalines.

Man, I'm shocked that the 3-D length MagD HA-III with FM 2" Deep reflector is still sitting here!!!

There has never been a reflector that removes WA bulb artifacts, dramatically improves throw, and enhances overall beam appearance with such a small form factor before or after this model.

This is the perfect head/reflector for Mag85, or any WA bulb. I have a slew of these reflectors, and this is a great package price. I just don't think new members know about the benefits of this one...but if it's here much longer, I'll probably buy it.
