Hi,
Trying my first post so be forgiving ...
Usage: mix MTB and concrete farm lanes (looks like www.geograph.org.uk/photo/786812 with rain and mud these days).
I use:
a) For historical reasons: 2 x TLE 5 (not ex) on Twofish-handelbar + 1 Minimag Led 2AA on Fenix mount. Great to be seen; a poor substitute provided its a dry days!
b) I love TK20 on helmet (thanks to www.ruscelli.com/biking_twofish.htm ). Beautiful to remind incoming to dip down high beams. Very simple operation: only 2 levels.
But I could do with more illumination, say above 5m/16' ahead, specially on wet and muddy concrete farm lanes. Perhaps its due to the Neutral white LED... or my old eyes.
What light should I add? Seems I should stick to Fenix (regulation) avoiding DX (too good to be true?) and high end specialized bike lights (too expensive and fast obsolete)
After some research it looks like a LD25 or a LD 20 or even E21. (yes I stick to AA)
I can't find much info even here (CPF) and Joseph (4seven) suggested this post.
Shared experience would be very welcome.
Or point me to the right place.
Thanks
