What drop-in did you use to replace the Xenon 9V module? I've seen about 3 different drop-ins on DX and Kai that look like they might work (one 5-mode and the others 1-mode), but I'm not sure...
First of all, given that the GL-3 is a 3xCR123 (9V), will a drop-in with a max rating of 9V be OK? I'm assuming the regulation circuitry will be able to handle it and that there's no danger of being near the 'limit'.
Second, the reflector diameter of 26.5cm seems to match the OEM reflector, but the module lengths seem to be longer than OEM... does using these drop-ins require some tweaking/adjusting of the springs?
The Pila brand drop-in is much more expensive than the DX and Kai drop-ins, so I'm trying to avoid going that route... Thanks!
