Hello everyone!

After just lurking around for many many years (1.5 ) and following all these interesting discussions, it is not enough anymore to just browse passively all the threads.

That is because I made the good decision to buy a Dereelight DBS V3 and would like to have some additional accessoires for it! But they are hard to find. I've already seen the recommendation of a holster (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=223088) and I think that would be a good choice. But I am open for any other advices... For example I am sad that the one from Blackhawk does not fit the DBS(http://www.blackhawk.com/product/Flashlight-Holder-wMod-U-Lok-Attachment,1013,127.htm).

And what about red filters? I like the ones from Surefire very much... but they won't fit because of the bezel diameter. Any others?

Are there other handy accessoires that I didn't think of?

Thanks for any tipps and links!

Simon.

Btw: It seems everyone (including me) is interested in the flashlights of other users. It gives some kind characteristics to someone ;) So, I don't want to hide my modest "collection": A Fenix P3D Rebel and a T1, a DBS once it arrives... and formerly a Police Tech from Led Lenser/Coast/Or whatever they are called.

For $5 more than the (more commonly) suggested holster, you can get a light as well as a holster that fits like it was made for it. Go to Lowes and get a Task Force 2C light (make sure it says 60x on the box). It's a nice little light and I can't compare it to the mail-order holster but it does fit perfectly. I got a mace can holster that fits ok (it's WAY too big to carry on my belt) but the one from the Task Force is smaller and still fits the DBS perfectly. Since I store my lights in a case on the wall and not a drawer, I can use the holster for either light when I carry it. Plus, if you don't like either the holster or light, you can return it to a brick and mortar.

There's a Surefire filter (blue or red) that goes on the executive series. If you pop out the lens, it makes a great little tailcap cap. Why? So that it can tailstand!

Go into the CPF-Marketplace and look for Flashcrazy's post in the dealer's section. He is the authorized US dealer for Dereelight and has many different items for the DBS.

I'd suggest getting an MC-E pill and reflector, along with the battery extender. It should give you ~500 lumens out the front!

The Nite Ize stretch holster LHS-03 works well too. I use it for my DBS and Fenix TK20. It also works for the Surefire 6P and Dereelight CL1H. The belt clip has a very wide slot for belts so it will go on most belts, but it will also slide around on most belts too. The thing I like the best is that even though it is an open top so the lens isn't protected, there is no velcro to wear out which is usually the first thing to go on my holsters.

(I know the thread was dead, but I hate the Maxpedition holster. Way too much velcro and it's a big holster.)

Well, if you consider an aspheric head to be an accessory.... :naughty:
