Wanting to know output of bds v3 mc-e and what is its max distance

In my opinion it is about 400-500 Lumen.

The US distribution is FlashCrazy but in the UK i went to Dereelight but they are celebrating Chinese New Year until early Feb.

To get 600 Lumens, you need a current about 3A.

I did some quick tests between the MC-E 2.1A pill and the MC-E 2.4A pill. It sounds like the 2.4A pill may no longer be offered, but I managed to get one while they were. So I wanted to see just how much difference there was. I put them in my DBS V1, which has a AR lens installed.

The 2.1A pill was drawing 1.14A from 2xAWR123's, fresh off the charger. LUX at 1 meter was right around 10,000LUX.

The 2.4A pill was drawing 1.4A from 2XAWR123's, also fresh off the charger. LUX at 1 meter was right around 12,000LUX.

I don't delve much into the the math or science here but Mr. Malkoff is getting 500 lumens out of a 1.3A draw (on 6V) so the MC-E must more efficient.

3A to the emitter, not 3A draw off two CR123's.
