Dexlight vs. Fenix

I have a P2D CE and L1D CE that i use interchangeably. I am looking also to order the L2D REBEL.

My question though is the Dexlight Sapphire better than the L1D CE? The UI looked kinda confusing, but I'm really interested in the build quality and the sapphire lens.

I tried to use the search function to look for this topic, but it errored out several times...

Fenix lights IMO are a little better in terms of build quality. I had a Dexlight X1 which I liked but never really used. The UI is OK but I like to have low come on first. I have only ever owned Luxeon Fenix's but from the Fenix Cree beamshots I have seen, the Dexlight I had had a cleaner beam with no dark ring. The tint on the Dexlight was also good. With regards to the sapphire crystal it makes no difference to me because of the way I use and carry my lights. My lenses stay pretty clean and scratch free. Another thing to consider is customer service. I usually buy Fenix's from David at the Fenix Store. It's nice to know there is someone I can reach and have any problems resolved quickly.
