Difference between Surefire N2 and MN15 bulbs?

I'm just wondering, IF there's any difference at all. They both are 3-cell / 105 Lumen bulbs. The only thing I can think of a difference is the stem height. The MN10 is also a 3-cell / 105 (or 125) Lumen bulb, but has a considerably shorter stem. Can anyone tell me for sure what the difference between the N2 and MN15 is? And, that is the reason for asking: will the N2 fit the M6 turbo head?

It will fit yes. But may not focus properly. And surefire did not recommend it because it has a shorter spring and may lose contact under hard use. Apparently it has a better beam than the mn15 though

I'm going on CPF legend here, but the N2 was known to have a classic Surefire round beam pattern for the old SRTH/KT2/etc.

The Millennium series MN15/MN16 ones have a slightly more oval "football shaped" beam pattern as they were made to fit the Millennium Turbohead. I encourage you to do some digging in old CPF posts. What bulbs fit in what turboheads was a big topic back in the day.

SureFire N2 vs. MN15

I recently purchased a KT1. It came with an N1. I ordered a MN15 as an additional bulb with the impression that it would work just fine in the KT1. The MN15 that came was off-center quite a bit and projected a poor beam. I contacted SureFire and they are sending me a replacement MN15...
