Hello everyone,

I just ordered this flashlight today because it has a 5.71 degree beam pattern at it's narrowest. I need this because it gives me a 2.6" square from about 13" aways with no spill. However, it might not be bright enough (42lumen) and therefore, I would like to change the 1.5w nichia jupiter LED for a CREE LED sometime in the future. I have played with other types of flashlights, but I can't find any articles on how to disassemble the head off this one.

If anyone knows any alternate way for me to build a compact light that outputs a 2.5" diameter uniform circle with no spill from about 12-13" away, I am very interested in knowing. Thank you everyone.

regards,
Derek
