I'm new to diving and DIY lighting but wanted to join the forum to learn what I can. I hope to possible make some canister light setups in the future and hope to learn from these forums though they appear quite dead. Anyone with helpful insight, I'd love to discuss.

Yeah, the Dive Lighting forum is pretty nearly dead, but you can still go back and read all the old threads and learn a lot. Batteries have gotten a little better, LEDs have gotten better, but not much else has changed.
Plus, there are still a few of us around if you have questions.
