Do Cree drop-ins work in Huntlight FT-01???

Looks like the driver in my Huntlight FT-01 LuxIII went kaput. Anyone know if the Cree drop-ins from Kai and DX fit and work in the FT-01? Need to get the light working as I was going to give it to someone shortly.

Which version do you have?

I have the first generation and the Ultrafire 502B CE module fits in it.

Ths module does not fit the newer style Hunt Lights. Will not fit my FT01X SE U Bin, (center, Natural Type III Hard Anodize).

I have the version just after your first gen version that Huntlight made slightly brighter. It's still called the normal FT-01 like yours, but it's slightly brighter.

Do you happen to know why it doesn't fit your FT-01X-SE U-bin? What is interfering?

I can't seem to find my Ultrafire 502B CE. From what I remember the spring on the 502B CE, the larger one won't fit in the FT01X SE U Bin. I think it was a little too big and the lens bezel was not able to screw down. It gets stuck on where the the head curves in the back towards the battery tube causing the lens bezel not to screw down.

Note the picture. The spring on the left looks larger than the plastic piece on the right.

Thanks ersanada. P60s fit fine in my FT-01, so hopefully the DX module will fit also. Not sure if the spring's the same size as P60s or not, but they look similar.

How much lumens do you estimate from the 502B CE module? Only 80 lumens or close to 100 lumens? Thanks.

I don't have any way to measure lumens but I have some beam shots vs the Lumapower M1 Cree OP.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll get one. My Huntlight is an FT01TJ and works fine.

Looks like DX is out of them and Kai has lowered the price a little. I'll just order one and forget about it for a while. Maybe two whiles.
