Do I have to buy a special charger for Lion's ??

I'm thinking of getting some AA and AAA Lion's for the new Cree arrivals ..... can these be charged in a normal Nimh/Eneloop Charger ??

No!!! Lions have their own charging requirements and they have a tendency to explode if they get overheated. Use a charger that's specifically designed for lithium-ion chemistry or one of the smart chargers (Maha makes several) that are switchable from NiMh to Lion.

Believe me, you DON'T want to make a lion cell angry! oo:

Chargers are specific to each battery chemistry. Attempting to charge a lithium ion cell with a NiMh charger will produce unpredictable results ranging from a simple failure to charge to an explosion.

You must have a charger designed to deal with the type of lithium ion cell you're going to be using.

I bought a LiIon 10440(AAA)/14500(AA) charger and cells from dealextreme.com. It should be here Friday.
