Does anybody know dimensions of H22A's heatsink

While im waiting for H22A to come back online (2am in thailand) could anybody tell me the dimensions of his HAIII cree heatsink for "D" mag or the "C" mag one.

I think he may have sent me c's instead of d's.

The C heatsink is around 26mm
while the D heatsink is around 34mm


BTW .... Dont you have a Mag to try it out on ?

Thanks. The only mag i have here at the moment is a der wichtel triple p7 4d. It would be a pain to remove the head etc - thermal paste etc.

Just measured them they are about 34mm so should be the D ones... it rattles around a lot at the tail end, i thought both ends were the same size.?

Im off out to see if i can grab a mag host from supermarket.

um, the tail end is threaded so the bore is larger than the head.

BTW the C and D versions look totally different:

notice the D heatsink has the LED tower slightly "recessed" into the sink and the C heatsink has the LED tower sticking out.

Good point about the threaded end.
From those pics they look like the one on the right. So im just stressing about nothing lol, still going to get a host if i can tonight, need a couple anyway, my KD aspherics arrived today too

*edit* Yep Tesco's lol. I saw they had a silver 2D on their website but in the smallprint it said "torch type-LED" I think its just a typo though as everything else about it suggests its a normal 2D incan. even mentions "Spare Krypton bulb in tailcap" - http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-7184.aspx look at features tab.

Aye, im building a couple of 2D aspherics. I got the XRE R2's from RS components! result. Just waiting on DX drivers to arrive.

That's a "D".
The Der Wichtel sink sits higher in the Mag head and is much bigger diameter (about 48mm)
