Driver problem

I bought a wf-502b flashlight with a ax2002 based driver in it. It is supposed to have 5 modes, but only one mode works. It draws 300 milliamps at the tail in this mode. The driver board is marked "east-060a". Is anyone here familiar with this board? It has a .25 ohm sense resistor, so it should put out the claimed 1a if it was actually working. Any advice how to troubleshoot would be appreciated.
