Drop in focusable retrofit for Solitaire.

What do you think about my focusable Solitaire drop in module? Its pretty simple to install. Pull out the old bulb and simply replace with the module. I have modified the 3mm Nichia NSPW312BS-B2T into a side emitting LED to utilize the reflector 100%. The converter is a simple unit using a single transistor feeding 60ma into the LED. Run time is about 5 to 6 hours. Light output is around 48,000mcd when focused to a pin point spot. I hope these pictures turned out OK.

That is a great looking mod, even the divot in the front of the LED looks like it could be factory.

How well does it focus, and are there any holes in the beam?

Arc Mania has allowed me to look at a lot of his creations and they are nothing short of amazing!!! Imagine drop in's with step ups and 1w HD's and SE's and 5w SE's!

They are very very professional looking and drop in with what appears to be adequate heat sinking. Wonderful jobs.

I personally look foward to alot more things to come from Arc mainia.

Have any plans for producing say... 100 of those things? Yep, it is the winter time and we all need more flashlights

I like the ability to focus the beam also.

I stopped by Sears last week and looked at the Craftsmen flashlights, they have a single AAA anodized focusable aluminum flashlight with a tail switch! Throw you adaptor into one of those and I think you could see hundreds of those bomb-proof things. It would be like a Arc AAA with focus and a tailswitch.
