Update:

D) $69 XP-L 5700K - Single Mode 3.6A, ~1200 LED Lumen at turn , obviously bright, 2 minute per burst (IMR10440

Only)

This cell can take 3A discharge rate. 3.6A at turn on drops as voltage drops so it's not too long until we fall below the 3A safe zone. Light dims very slowly so plenty of usable show off or scanning time. Will do more run time time as I have time.

so, this changed from 900 lumens to 1200 lumens? Wow! Is it close to 1200 even with the XP-L at 4000k? Still 2 min bursts only? Amazing light! Plenty to go around? Timeframe to build and ship one? Sorry for all my dumb questions. Thank you Vinh!

The beamshots are 1200 LED lumen. I just measured the current draw today and it was 3.6A, higher than I initially estimated. 4000K might be 1000 LED lumen at turn on Lumen...

2 minute burst from a fully charged cell is fine. I only have like 5 in hand for testing. A load more is coming very soon though.

This is pretty amazing...finally something that will compete with the MBI HF for keychain duty. Might just have to get one...

Option D below Tested:
- Tested with Efest 350 IMR10440
- Ran three 2 minute runs and one 6 minute run.
- Total usable run time = 12 minutes
- Starting voltage = 4.18V, Ending voltage = 3.05V
- First 3 minute runs are very bright
- At the 12th minute option D is still brighter than a stock E05SS

Probably not the most cost efficient route, but how much to mod my own E05SS to option D? I find it too heavy for EDC use, preferring the aluminum lights, but for this, I'd put up with the weight.

Thanks Vinh for the "Option D" test results! All I can say is WOW!
The AAA I carry for about 30 hours a week is lighter, has a forward clicky, and has a respectable 300 Lumen. But, I'll be more than happy to trade that for what looks to be a legendary mini-beast.

Also, it's great that the batteries for the little beast are both plentiful and cheap!
