How come no one is buying the less hardcore options?
I have a zebralight h52 l2 and your d25cvn I edc. Got the bases covered there for edc.

Don't really like keychain lights, too bulky. I have a stock fenix hl5 that runs on aaa and the runtime is pretty disappointing. So what it boils down to, is very floody lights take alot of lumens to get anywhere so I feel aa or bigger is best. For aaa lights, I think xpe2 or at the biggest xpg2 provide best runtime to lux ratio. I have to have a clicky (forward with momentary is best) for edc. So really, this would be just a wow light, and for that the high lumen model kicks ***. Just my take. I'd probably buy the 900 lumen model if it was in the budget, but alas, I have to save money for something else.

If you could make this

D) $69 XP-L 5700K - Single Mode 3.6A, ~1200 LED Lumen at turn , obviously bright, 2 minute per burst (IMR10440 Only)

infinitely variable or with 3 or 4 well spaced modes I'd be in!

That would be amazing! I want the output but can't justify the runtime.

For some people 2 minutes is a LONG time to have a flashlight on HIGH :naughty:

Typically I use these small lights in short times anyway. The biggest down side with this light is the increased amount of charging cells if used much.
Mostly a wow light unless we can get more modes.

MBI has 30 amp 10440 Nukes.

Assuming the light would not melt/fulminate, etc...that would seem the most powerful cell you could load the light with that I know of at least.

So, Vinh, whatcha think of a 30 amp 10440 Nuke in this light?
