EDC Clicky Tail with Rotary Body?

Hi,
Sure it's been discussed, but I could not find anything on the topic with a search.

My question is this. Since a rotary has four primary programmable settings just like the Clicky, it stands to reason that if you put a Clicky tail on a rotary body, it will function just like a Clicky, correct? Or am I missing something obvious?

I would just try it myself, but my Clicky tails are the pre acme threads, so they won't pair with my rotary bodies.

No, sorry. The head has to be reprogrammed for the tail being used.

Thanks nbp. Glad I asked. I was thinking about picking up a Clicky 18650 tail to use while camping. Guess it will will be the rotary then. For some reason, I just prefer the Clicky with the longer tube.

I find the 18650 Rotary body much more economical to use compared with it's shorter counterpart. I also like the long clicky body too.
