My EDC consists of:

(1) EV Turquoise Arc AAA
(2) Green Arc AAA
(3) Arc LE AAA
(4) White Arc LS (beta unit)-123
(5) Orange/Red High Dome LS-123
(6) Surefire E2e

EDC:

1) ARC AAA white mounted on pocket knife
2) ARC LSS white - 123 (CPF SF E1 LOTC mod)

I prefer to EDC a white, even though I own a turquoise EV. My friend on the other hand prefers the Turq. to the white. I may eventually sell off the turq as I really can't see using it.

I carry ARC AAA 3.0 White everyday.....Awesome little light

My wife and I both have Arc LE Whites on our keychains. They replaced Photon-like lights (maybe Photons) given out at a trade show.

My wife also edc's a MiniMag AA with Brinkmann Nexstar lamp in her pouch (no kangaroo jokes, please).

I also edc an E2e in my other pocket and currently an Inova X5 in my shoulder bag.

My ALLWAYS EDC (on my keychain) is the ARC AAA LE. Except for an ARC AAA UV and an ARC AAA IR all of my lights are white (Stylus {worn whenever I have a shirt pocket}, ARC SLS, E2, Batonlite, LW 4000, Surge,Scorpion {almost allways on my belt}, and 8 Minimags {3 NewBeams, an LS conversion and the rest with Brinkmann bulbs})

I usually carry my Arc AAA CPF and my E2e. Nice combo. Last Friday I dropped my CPF in a Buffalo's Cafe on my way home from the Blade Show(about an hour from my home). Realized my goof after I arrived at home. Bummer. Called on Saturday. Left message for $10 reward. I just found out they have it waiting for me!

I've been carrying my back-up Arc AAA, but I've been sad thinking that someone would just get the light and not appreciate it for the wonderful flashlight it is.

OK, quick EDC story: I took my CPF edition
AAA off my neck to show to a waiter (won't even go into how lights came up). I ended up leaving it on the table. The busboy picked up the light and took it to the front desk. Before I even knew it was missing, it had been delivered to my hotel room because they matched my inscribed name with the guest roster. How cool is that? Busboy in question got a nice tip for his troubles.

I still had to pat *myself* on the back for adding my name to the room ticket (my wife's last name is different from mine). All's well that ends well.

And yes Tex, thanks for noticing that I posted this in the right place. This is the New Darell 2000. An off-topic post nevermore.

At least not tonight.

Just a caution to everybody...

I *USED* to have an ARC-AAA. I kept it on my keychain attached to the split-ring using a carabiner. One day the light turned up missing

If you EDC, do NOT use a carabiner. If you do EDC on a keychain, how do you remove it?

I will get a new ARC-AAA on Father's day

Use a Kydex sheath, or a lobster claw clip, or a gate clip found at Berkeley Point. I use all of the above, and haven't lost one (permanently!) yet.

The most dangerous thing to an Arc AAA is a toddler who likes to flush...

Maybe she thinks you are saying "flush light" instead of "flash light". I bet toddlers are more likely to know what "flush" is instead of "flash".

Oh Craig?

Getting back on topic, I would like to write another essay soon about the difference between EDC and "Convienence", the graph between convienence and output, formulas, ideal run times, peaks in the conveinence graph at key chain size and EDC size, etc.

Basically and in my spare time, I have been formulating an idea for quantifying the value of a flashlight (using a math based grading system) based on factors like volume, weight, output over run time, etc. This would be multiplied with scores assigned to switch type, water proofing, housing type, bulb type, etc.

Is the Arc-AAA an EDC class of light or is it a conveinence class (which is a subset of EDC or vice versa)?

At any rate, the end result should be as easy to understand as possible while retaining real and usable accuracy.

I used to have mine on a carabiner too, and it did come off once or twice, but in my pocket fortunately.

I now have it on one of the stainless steel gate clips from Berkely Point. Perfect.
