And it was perfect timing for me since I just sold an item in the marketplace to cover the cost of this new toy. . .

hey thanks for bringn the thread back up, just ordered mine!!! been waiting for some time for them to restock. I didnt get an m60 wioth it though, I'm gonna wait and see what gene has been up to.

Gah! Must... Close... Website!!!

Phew! almost bought an orange one, 2 stage switch and a warm low (well, if all of them were in stock that is)

Hope you do another couple of runs after this Gene, I really want one, but funds are tight at the moment

If I install a two stage switch with a m60LF what will my runtimes be like in low? what about a LLF?

The Website "said" the EMS MD2 could only be purchased as a complete light, but one was not forced to select a dropin. Also the options on the right only showed 2 options, not all the dropins that were in sock. Oh well the Drop in I was really wanting was a M60WL and that one was not in stock anyway.

I've not needed a new dropin for a while (I probably didn't really need one now), but it's too bad that stock still can't be maintained. I guess that's good in that it means they are still popular, but bad if you need something on a tight deadline. I hope that means they are just too busy working on a real XP-G masterpiece.

I'll be interested in checking out this light, I think it will become the new vehicle light. The coating sounds very cool. I liked the cheaper G2 in there, but I'm having some issue with that one if after it sits in the vehicle in cold weather. Very strange, anyone had a Malkoff dropin that would not work after being left in the cold? I'm about to do a freezer test, but it may also be the host, when I start testing the components everything works fine. Put it all back together and it works again after I test every piece. If I just take it apart, reassemble it, no go. Very strange.

Anyway, looks like a great idea, now I need to lower the landing gear.:popcorn:

Sounds like the battery chemistry not supplying enough voltage to light off the drop in if it's too cold.

I have a Bosch 10.8V cordless impact driver that essentially uses 3-14670 cells & it doesn't work when the temp is below 40F.

If I put the battery pack in my pocket & let it warm up a bit it is working perfectly again.

Could be, but these are Lithium primaries and they should be good in the cold. I'll check the brand, I didn't get a chance yet to test it any more. After two instances though I need to get to the bottom of it. Still waiting for the Orange one, should be here any day now.

Still my favorite Malkoff. :D

Got a Emerson to go with it. :twothumbs
