For those who didn't see the thread in B/S/T, griff held a raffle for his EN Mule :)

And I just received the EN Mule yesterday!

Griff's packaging was a nice change over the normal Bubble Wrap envelopes I'm used to seeing in the mail. He boxed it up and put AMPLE amounts of bubble wrap over the flashlight :)

Since people have asked for some pictures of the light (in addition to the many I'm sure you CPF'ers have been posting) here are some! I didn't have a chance to take pictures in proper lighting yet, but I hope you enjoy ;)

griff was also nice enough to package a CR123 with the Mule :)
RTR flashlights are awesome ;)

I do have a question, though..I was trying to read up on this flashlight, more specifically trying to find out what type of driver is in this LE. griff packaged it with a Primary, so I was wondering if this driver was a boost/buck driver or just pure boost. I'd like to run it on a Li-ion if possible, would that be okay?

And another question... See picture:

The O-ring seems to be popping out. I unscrewed the LE but saw that I couldn't really get the window out from that side. How would I go about reinstalling the O-ring? Should I yank the O-ring out, put the window in and then force the O-ring back?

Griff is awesome :)

Thanks Griff!

Force is a strong worn when applied to a McGizmo engineered flashlight. No "forcing" should be necessary.
Gentile coaxing would be more like it. It looks like the O-Ring in there is NOT the STOCK standard O-Ring. Find out what the correct size for that light is and reinstall the correct O-ring into the place of the unit which is Malfunctioning.

I received a AMcMule straight from McGizmo and the o-ring was also slightly unseated on one side, but not as bad as you show. I just pushed it back in with my fingernail.

I think it is a NexGen 400.

Maybe Don can answer the Li-ion question.

Try taking out the O-ring and the window, then the O-ring under the glass. (put scotch tape on the window to remove it and to keep track of which side is up) Put a little oil on the O-rings and re-install everything. I don't see why it would be the wrong size O-ring but if it is and won't fit right, the correct O-rings are listed in the FAQ.

I am the original owner of the light,no changes were made and for that fact the light was never used for anything but looking in the safe to find other lights! I'm not sure if you can use anything other than primaries!
good luck with the McGizmo EN mule ... Do with it whatever you like, keep, trade or sell it ...whatever makes you happy

It looks tome like the window is unseated and off center. It needs to seat down evenly and centered and then the retaining O-ring should seat evenly around it. It also looks like my QC was out the window when I sent that set to Griff and my bad and sorry!! The head looks like it must have been at the end of a bar in the CNC machine and there was insufficient material for a complete machined piece?!?! It looks like half the face has cut marks and and does not extend to the full length as it should. Either that or it got hit by a grinder or had some serious abraision and removal of material? If the head is evenly nickel plated then this is a bunk head and I need to replace it for you.

Don the intent of this "Giveaway" was not to get you involved. I'm sorry for this. I think I can get the o-ring back in the head and from what I remember there was nothing wrong cosmetically or otherwise . I received it in perfect working condition from you. Thanks for the offer and if I need any help I'll contact you later.

Randy,
Please PM me and we can resolve this problem!
Sorry for this but I think I can fix it. My dad is a TV repairman and he has the ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Yes, there seem to be some un-even grinds in the crenelations in the head...either that or someone needs to buy another camera. That's a very generous offer from The Master to offer replacement on the head, I suggest you take him up on it.

Picture Heavy! EN Mule, ON ICE!

someone needs to buy another camera.
Haha. I have some Casio P&S with an extremely dirty UV Filter attached XD. I used to think this camera did fairly well with AWB but after looking at my pictures again, I don't know what the camera was thinking (or what my eyes saw, for that matter).

Oh, no need to fix the O-ring, griff. Through the quick replies of the CPF community and McGizmo, I removed the O-ring and Window and reinstalled it successfully. I was just a little weary on how to do it properly, and I wanted some reassurance on how to reinstall the window and o-rings. Half of the Retaining O-ring was initially UNDER the window (instead of being outside). I pulled out the O-ring and window and reseated the window and replaced the O-ring, issue solved :) . Thanks anyway griff! You are awesome for supporting the item you gave away for free. :)

Here are some pictures for proof that I fixed the O-ring (all by myself, too :p, well... after all of your help)! :D

I <3 this Flashlight. Its so well built and its very photogenic (especially on ICE). :nana: Honestly, I never knew how useful a pure flood flashlight would be. I've always preferred single mode lights, but often times I find (my EDC) single mode lights far too bright in close quarters (the spot is too intense). The EN Mule brings me brightness, yet without the harsh bright white spot my EDCs have.

Its a great flashlight

Hope you all enjoyed the photos. :)
