exposure beater whats next

built this the other month and took it for spin last night

It was brighter than the exposure maxx d, just a shame its bigger. now I'm thinking of building a c cell mag cut down to hold one 18650. whats the best LED for this combo

I guess I should expand my question, what would be the best led to use (run time / out front lumens) in a c cell mag with one using one 18650? What I'm after is around 450-500 lumes with a 2 hour run time. Is this even posible

The most efficient emitter presently is the xp-g.
Look at the specs and find it is most efficient at lower drive currents, so for max efficiency you could use several emitters. I'm not sure where the break-point is and when the sst-50/90 comes out as more efficient owing to high-current droop of xp-g.
But lets be quick and dirty - AW's best 18650 cell is rated 2600ma. If you want 2h run-time, there's 1300ma to use per hour.
