I am interested in knowing what light from 2007 has been your favorite light and the reasons why.

I have purchased a number of lights this year. I am impressed with the new Surefire L1. I like that Novatac finally came out with lights that were more affordable than HDS' original very similar lights. I bought a McLux, I bit on the Nitecore defender (not too pleased with that) but my favorite light for 2007 was . . . the Zebra light.

I like that it is small, uses an AA, has three good levels, and is dependable. It is my first head light, but it also has a pocket clip. I like it because I use it.

So what's your favorite light of 2007?

Added: LowBat's request to nominate the lights using this format:

Given that I've always been a sucker for L1's, the L1 Cree was my favorite.

What I like:
Still have tight spot like gen 2, but actually has some useful spill, unlike gen 2
SF changed the "coffin" circuit to the shorter config, a la the A2, to shorten body
The tint (on mine) is warm and gives good color rendition

What I don't like:
The low level is a touch too high. 3-4 lumens would have been better

Lets see, this year I got a Arc AAA DS, Fenix P1 CE, Novatac 85P, KX2 module, and a P60L.

Envelope please, and the winner is...

Arc AAA DS!!!

The best (IMHO) just got better.

Right now I realized that this year I bought 23 flashlights. :sigh:

My favorite is SF Titan not only for its nice U.I. and right size but most of all because of the beam, clean, smooth and with a perfect white tint.

I personally Use NovaTac EDC 120 P, LRI Photon Freedom, Fenix P1 Q2, Fenix L1P CE Almost on a Daily Basis.... I also occasionally use Orb Wee, LiteFlux & JetBeam C-LE

According to my Site Stats Here is the list of Top Ten flashlights of 2007

Re: Favorite Light of 2007 - Zebralight Q5

I've been flashaholic in some ways a long time...

I had one of the first Photon Micros, owned a Surefire 9P and a SL Ultrastinger for years, many, cheapo LED's - mostly the 3xAAA with multi 5 mm LED's)

But I got on this forum in early December, bought the Fenix L2D-CE, the L0D Q4, the Taskforce 2C, a Zebralight Q5, plus some DX MTE's and Romisens inbound.

I'm amazed at how far these lights have come in the last twelve months. I was never very impressed with the 1W Luxeons (never bought any) as they were too hot, and not well developed in the final packaged. What Cree has done is a real breakthrough.

The L2D is an amazing light. Easily outperforms the SF 9P, and very well made. Kudos to Fenix.

I like all those mentioned, and I guess the favorite is the Zebralight. This little gem is so handy, I used it this morning when I was replacing the flush valve in a toilet. It produces such a nice even light, and it weighs nothing. Every time you reposition yourself, you have light.

Good thing I got that Costco deal on the Eneloops, or I would be battery poor in 2008.

I have a few favorites that I got in 2007. I really like my Surefire L4. Just a great wall of light. A big punch in a small package. I also like my recently acquired Surefire L1 Cree. Another big punch in a small package. I'm also a fan of the MagLED modules I bought this year. It makes an already classic and durable light even better.

My favorite in terms of sheer utility is by far the L1 Cree. I am not ever going to part with this one. Well until they upgrade the emitter :)

The light that just makes me giggle like a lunatic whenever I turn it on is my Amondotech N30 HID.

Vote for most awesome handful goes to the M6 with MN21 HOLA.

The light I have loved this year is my Milky ML-1, so it's not a stock light but for me it's been an excellent discovery!

Well, I only got my first real light in Feb.(My L1,Im a recent flashaholic) it would have to be my tried and true L4. Wall of light, sexy as hell, tough as nails, what more could ya want??
