Fenix L2DCE, couple of questions.....

Is it water proof? I don't need to go diving or snorkeling with it but I'd like to know if it will be ok if I drop it in the creek/pool/river/lake/toilet

Also, wheres the cheapest place to order it? Maybe with a cpf discount....?

The L2DCE seems to be at least a little waterproof... there are o-rings at the head and tailcap threads. Of course, I wouldn't want to drop my precious L2DCE into the toilet to confirm that

I would say it's at LEAST dunkable.
There are a couple of guys here who forgot their L0D CEs(guess it's small enough to forget) in the laundry, and they have all survived the washing machine at least. But if you need a dive light, you should probably look elsewhere. And another note, dont forget to grease the O-rings if you want your lights to be waterproof.
And +1 for fenix-store or lighthound for your fenixfix.

Splash proof, dunkable, I have heard of a Fenix L1P going through the washer and it still worked. I wouldn't use it for diving.

I ordered my L1Dce from Lighthound on a late Thursday night.......was in my mailbox Monday morning ! I know the L1D is water resistant. We went camping this last weekend. A storm of biblical fury blew in. I was using the L1D in driving rain...so hard it was stinging my face. By the time I got done securing everything and got in the tent.....I had to pour water out of my shoes. The Fenix didnt miss a beat. I then switched to low and tailstood it on a cooler in the tent the rest of the night while we played cards. When I kicked the tiny light on in turbo mode it drew several "WTF's !?" . LOL .

I went to the lake last weekend and we had a bonfire. As soon as I turned on my Focusing Led Lenser (Hokus Fokus) to look for firewood everybody was light WTF?! Good god thats bright :laughing:
