a post by orionlion82 got me looking back over the comprehensive Fenix collection (I am weak).

Now I know emitter alignment is the luck of the draw and hardly effects the output but does anyone else think the alignments in recent fenix offerings are getting worse?

Anybody got any opinions?

Welcome to CPF
I had one that was so bad it had to be returned.
It has alway been an issue as with the Green tints

I have a P1D-CE that is really off-center, a gap on one side and the ring half under the reflector on the other.

They are using a counterbore to roughly locate the emitter by a non-datum feature: the corners of the emitter board.

They should have fixtures to hold the emitter centered by the ring to the pill body during epoxy cure instead.
