for those who have not been in light ined.you must check out this little jewel i got mine from http://fenix-store.com/ david was a pleaure to deal with.very very very fast shiping and he was very helpful.now far as the light its very very small.uses a easy to find aaa battery.it has a very nice color beam. that kinda has both throw and flood.i used it tonight to navagate thru some woods and even on low it gave me plenty of light i felt very secure walking thru thease woods at 4 am.on medium it a course has more light.almost kinda freaky amount of light for a aaa cell light .on high it is pretty much stunning.it alsos can stand on its end a feature i love for area lighting.and another cool feature is the sos mode.it will shine the sos code by its slef when activated.
it is for sure the best single aaa celled light i know of.i still love my arc aaa.but this does so much more and is way brighter.i pretty much am retireing my river rock 2 aaa light..i think fenix is a company other light makers must take notice of.im still wondering how they got all this light from such a small light.any hunters or hikers will love to have this in there pocket.

wow i never heard of that one turtle.looks intersting but if i understand it has a tube so ya can make it use either 1 aaa or 2.i know for sure id lose that tube in one day lol.plus im realy a big fan of cree after seeing this light.not sure if cree has the lottery that luxeon had.but i dont think cree has that issue.plus id worry where i could get the liteflux.and i dont like the way ya controll the levels on the liteflux.and if i read it corect the liteflux with 2 batts aint as bright as the fenix is with one.i a course cant compare since i only have the fenix.i realy think ya will like the fenix.its so smalll.

I really like mine. For it's size I think it's my most useful light.

I can't make up my mind on whether to get an LOD CE or an L1D CE. I would probably use the L1D CE more around the house but would be more apt to pocket the LOD CE.

I have an L2D. Is either the one cell LOD CE or L1D CE with the Cree brighter then my 2 cell Lux L2D?

Do you mean L2T here? If so, then yes. The L1D CE on a single AA is slightly brighter than an L2T is on 2 AA's.

The L0D CE on a primary AAA batt is near 50 lumens. That's about the same as an L2T but they have different light output. The L2T will throw a spot much further.

OTOH, my aaa L0D CE on a 10440 3.7v Li-ion is one of my brightest flashlights. 150 -130 lumens on high. It will light up a small field. The only thing I have that is brighter is my COAST Hocus Focus modified w/ a Seoul P4. My  flashlight.

I use my L0D CE with Energizer L92 lithium primaries and the amount of light it puts out is simply incredible.

Excellent small flashlight!
