Apparently, I fried the driver in my not-so-trusty Fenix P1 while applying the DeoxIT a little too liberally (was having some intermittent connectivity issues.) Anyway, I have removed the board and would like to install a replacement. So far, this is the only option I have found:

Can someone please confirm that this driver is appropriate, or offer a better recommendation?

Thank you!

You will find that the DX board that you are looking at will be much too big to fit in the P1 heatsink. I do not think that you could even remove enough of the board perimeter to squeeze it in there.

A much better alternative, though more expensive will be the GD750 from the Shoppe. It is a buck/boost board, and will accept any cell that you can put into the Fenix. It is 14mm in diameter, compared to the 17mm diameter DX board.

Thanks for the great info. At $20 plus shipping, though, I'm not sure this old girl is worth it. I can almost buy a new one for that, though I'd have to upgrade the emitter again.

Fenix doesn't sell replacement parts like this, do they?
