I would appreciate if anyone here can share their experience with me.

I just received a Schulze nextGeneration 6.30-5 plus Charger which comes with a ferrite ring.

Is it necessary to use it to wind the charging cable so that the cable would not act as an aerial - i.e. radiating the pulsed frequency of the voltage converter and the processor in an unacceptable way.

TIA
Cheers,
Terry

Re: Ferrit ring for Charging Lead

Hello Terry,

Nice charger. Let us know what you think of it.

To be compliant with the regulations the ferrite ring needs to be installed. If you are not in a position to interfere with anyone nearby, I don't believe you have to use it. I have an isl 6-330d and use it without the ring and it does not seem to effect the chargers performance at all.

Re: Ferrit ring for Charging Lead

Hi Tom,

Thanks for sharing. Currently reading up on the instruction manual before using it. Seems a little confusing comparing with my Triton.

Might need to seek further explaination from you or anyone else here.

Hope to be able to share any experience with this charger with everyone after using it.

Cheers,
Terry
