I'm not against buying some older American lights that are used so long as they are a dollar or less. Well some time ago I see a light at the flea market for a dollar but the vendor is never there but his wife was today. I traded a fifty cent piece I found at work for this 70s Eveready with working Energizer batteries.

I seen these on Egay for like 30$ plus IIRC but I don't really need one. It is well made for what it is. If you can believe it the plastic is just a covering it is a metal light underneith.

Couple of those around the shop with 21700 in an adapter and a kpr130 . They seem ok with hot bulbs. The large metal bulb holder/contact probably helps

Somehow missed this topic.
Definitely worth more than .50 cents. Great old light.
But not $30.oo at all.
Folks forget that you can list anything for any amount.
What it sells for is a different story.

Yep. If you want such lights often they are a quarter at a yardsale . Get out and look. shipping one off ebay costs more than their real value!

Rummage and thrift shops will often have treasures sitting there waiting for you to walk in and score.
At a Hospice store found a '91 Red incan 5D Maglite. NOS still in yellowed plastic clamshell priced $5. Couldn't walk away from that!

Had to look up what a Hospice store is.
Definitely got the wrong initial impression.
